UK Coffee Week is just around the corner and this year hundreds of businesses will be joining forces to celebrate great coffee and raise funds for coffee growing communities.
Before the week kicks off, you’ll receive a fundraising kit with posters, bunting, badges, balloons and cocktail flags so you can decorate your store.
If you’re stuck on how to raise funds during the week, here are our top fundraising tips and tricks which can be adapted for coffee shops, roasters, restaurants, retailers and bars.
Easy to action
Donate 10p from every coffee that you serve during the week.
Donate from a special menu item, for example:
- 25p from every pumpkin spiced latte
- 50p from a special cake or cookie
- £1 from every Espresso Martini or Tiramisu
- £2 from every bag of retail coffee
Add some excitement
Games, raffles and competitions are a great way to engage your customers and bring some excitement into stores.
Some of our favourite ones are:
- Guess how many coffee beans are in the jar
- Guess the origin of our guest coffee
- Raffle with prizes from local businesses
Organise an event
Organise an event or workshop to connect with your local community and bring customers in.
Successful past events include:
- Cupping sessions
- Latte art class or workshop
- Music or comedy night
- Sip and paint with a local artist
- Espresso martini party
If you are planning on organising an event, then let us know and we’ll add it to our ‘what’s on’ programme for the week.
